Fifty Million Colombians Search for their Gold Medal
With the even of the Olympic games in Tokyo 2021, when seventy of our best athletes actively competed to reach recognisement for our country, I would like to highlight the fifty million colombians that struggle to get the figurative gold medal everyday from their job desks, homes, schools, colleges and many other areas in the consecution of their individual or community goals.

We all have a bit of Catherine Ibarguen, Mariana Pajón, Rigoberto Uran and many others that with discipline and effort excel in Olympic Sports. Our own lives are stories of success and defeat defining our present and future, putting us on the map of each place in which we develop as we invest our work and collectible effort into seemingly impossible achievements that fill us with pride upon completion.

Thus, I wish to shed light over every colombian person that from their different disciplines make front to a daily routine of obstacles, races, targets, and fights that push them to develop the many different skills to obtain their own, personal gold medals. I feel proud of the seventy sports women and men competing in Tokyo 2021, but I’m even more proud of those ‘Everyday-athletes’ that stayed here to fight for their dreams.
The gold medal has already been won; Right here in the demanding olympic arena of life!
Greetings, C &M Family.
