The importance of continuing to learn new things
When was the last time you learned something new? Perhaps it was not easy for you to answer this question. In many cases, the more we grow, it seems that we forget to learn. This happens when everyday routines and activities lead us to a comfort zone. Here we will talk a little about the importance, both for our brain and in our habits, of incorporating new learning or skills no matter how old we are.

Any new activity that we adopt will help us get out of that routine, we can also turn wasted hours of leisure into something productive and entertaining. Doing monotonous things can affect our mood and even our health. Breaking that monotony can be complicated at first and it will depend on your will and curiosity to learn a new language, play an instrument, learn to cook or play a new sport.

Some benefits of continuing to learn are:

-
Have more tools to solve problems. By having more information we can combine it in more ways to come up with creative responses to everyday situations.
-
It makes us braver, since we lose the fear of trying new things. If something didn't go as expected or we didn't like it, trying a new activity also counts as learning.

We can meet new people. Attending classes or workshops can help you find people who share similar interests as you.

-
Wake up and connect your senses. For example, when learning to play an instrument you have to concentrate and coordinate each movement just as you read a piece of music. The same with any sport, your body will learn movements that you may never have done before.

-
Reduces stress and anxiety. By concentrating on learning something that is interesting to us and motivates us to continue advancing: it also helps our self-esteem.

You never know but it may be that in the next new thing you do you can discover that hidden talent. Although it may seem difficult, don't stop, no one started out being an expert in everything.
